Police to hold candlelight vigil for Davis

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, May 14.2018 – THE Royal St. Christopher & Nevis Police Force will be holding a candlelight vigil for the late Sgt. Dwight Davis on Monday, May 14.
     
    Davis, 37, was found dead on May 03. According to a police statement, they received a report of a body being found on a dirt road in the vicinity of the railway line in Dieppe Bay.
     
    When units arrived, they found the lifeless body of Davis lying on the ground. 
     
    An autopsy later revealed that his death was as a result of gunshot injuries.
     
    Many have, over the last several days, paid tribute to the officer, and the police force will continue by holding a candlelight vigil at Main Street, St. Paul’s (by Ms. Urell’s Shop) at 6:30 p.m.
     
    They are inviting the general public to attend; urging that persons doing so should wear a white top and jeans or a black bottom.
     
    Transportation is being provided and people are asked to assemble at the Basseterre Police Station for 6:00 p.m., are asked to bring along candles.
