CHARLESTOWN, Nevis, May 21, 2018 - INVESTIGATIONS by police into an armed robbery incident that occurred at the New Vibes, Real Vibes Bar on Government Road, Nevis have led to the arrest of an individual.
Teekaram Dindial of Stoney Grove was arrested and charged.
According to the law men, following the incident, four persons were taken into police custody for questioning.
Three were subsequently released on May 17, 2018, while the fourth, Dindial, was charged for the offence of Armed Robbery.
Police said in a statement that officers from the Charlestown Police Station responded to a report of an armed robbery taking place at the New Vibes, Real Vibes Bar on Government Road at about 3:40 p.m. on Monday, May 14.
Police said too that their investigations to date have revealed that several masked assailants armed with what appeared to be pistols entered the bar where a number of persons were gathered, and demanded money.
They pointed the weapons at the bartender and took the cash register before making their escape.
Having gotten some distance away, they reportedly fired several shots into the air. No one was injured.?
