BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, May 24. 2018 - Resident Pathologist, Dr. Adrian Nunez Quintana has determined, following a post-mortem examination, that Couchie Jones died of Acute Pulmonary Edema, Hypertensive Cardiopathy, Hypertension and Chronic Alcoholism.
Jones, 38 of Mount Lily, Nevis, complained to his parents that he was unwell and had stomach pains.
At 6:35 a.m. on Wednesday, 16 May, Jones’ mother reported to the New Castle Police Station that her son collapsed in the bathroom and appeared to be dead.
According to police, Dr. Quintana carried out the autopsy on May 22, and the case of death was determined.
According to a statement issued, with the assistance of his father, he was preparing to be taken to the hospital.
Police explained that Jones had asked his father to help him get to the bathroom where he collapsed.
