BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, May 26.2018 – POLICE are this evening carrying out investigations into an attempted murder on the life of Javed Daniel in Saddlers Village yesterday (May 25).
According to the Police Public Relations Department, several units responded to reports of shots fired in the said area. Preliminary investigations have so far revealed that at about 10:30 p.m., a number of persons were near a shop along the Island Main Road when they heard gunshots being fired and they ran.
Further enquiries revealed that Javed Daniel who resides in Saddlers Village was shot several times about the body.
Police said that he was transported to the J.N.F. Hospital in a private vehicle where he underwent emergency surgery and is listed as being in a stable condition.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing; police are asking persons with information to call the Violent Crimes Unit at 467-1887, 467-1888, 662-3468.
