EVROL DANIEL RECEIVES SUSPENDED SENTENCE, NOT IMPRISONMENT

By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, May 29.2018 – EVROL DANIEL of Butlers, Nevis will have to ‘keep the peace’ for the next two years after he received a suspended sentence for Unlawful Wounding. Contrary to what SKNVibes had previously reported, Daniel will not be imprisoned.

At a sentencing hearing at the Charlestown Magistrate’s Court on May 18, Daniel was given a three-year sentence with a two-year suspension. He was ordered by the Court not to commit any offences during the suspended period. If he breaks the law within that two years, the original sentence of three years will take effect and he will be imprisoned.

This media house understands that Daniel pleaded guilty to the offense of Unlawful Wounding earlier in the Criminal Assizes and the additional charge of Wounding with Intent to Cause Grievous Bodily Harm was withdrawn.

The incident for which he was convicted took place on August 14, 2016 outside the Butlers Holiness Church in Nevis.
