BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, June 05, 2018 – THE death of an 82-year-old grandmother has spurred police to launch an investigation into her demise.
Iona Nicholas of Ponds Estate, was found dead in her home yesterday (June 03).
SKNVibes understands that at around 9:15 p.m. yesterday, a report was made at the Basseterre Police Station reporting the death of the Octogenarian.
According to a police report, she was discovered dead in her home by one of her grandsons. The law men say that they are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Nicholas' death and an autopsy is expected to be performed shortly.
They have indicated that one person is in police custody assisting with investigations into the matter.
