Police Press Release: Report of arrests, convictions and other activities June 02-04, 2018

    Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 05 2018 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of arrests, convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period June 02-04, 2018.

     

    ARRESTS AND BAIL:
     
    Arrested: Clifton Grante of Upper Market Street, Basseterre was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Uttering a Forged Document.  
     
    Arrested: Marlon Anthony Henry of Soho, Basseterre was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Uttering a Forged Document.  
     
    Arrested: Tarique Lopez of Upper Cayon was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of throwing Missiles and Carrying Abroad an Offensive Weapon to wit a metal object and a Machete.
     
    Arrested: Troy Francis of Upper Cayon was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of throwing missiles and carrying abroad an Offensive Weapon to wit a metal object and a Machete. 
     
    Arrested/Bailed: Dione Paul of the Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of larceny. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on June 04, 2018. 
     
    Arrested/Bailed: Jermaine Francis of Newtown was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the Offence of Larceny. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on June 04, 2018. 
     
    COURT CONVICTIONS:
     
    In matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court, which was presided over by His Honour Reynold Benjamin, the following were reported:
     
    - Calvin Nicholls of Sprott Street was convicted for Battery, and was ordered to pay a fine of $1,750 in one (1) month or, in default, serve six (6) weeks in prison.  
     
    - Kelvin Millard of Upper Cayon pleaded guilty to the offence of Possession of Cannabis and was ordered to pay a fine of $4,000 in four (4) months or, in default, serve six (6) months in prison. He also pleaded guilty to the offence of Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply and was ordered to pay $8,000 in four (4) months or, in default, serve ten (10) months in prison.  
     
    - Gregory Seaton of Buckley's Site was convicted and fined $350 to be paid in one (1) month or, in default, serve one (1) month in prison. 
     
    - Etienne Henry of Lodge Project was convicted and fined $200 to be paid in seven (7) days or, in default, serve seven (7) days in prison for Driving Without a Seatbelt. Henry was also convicted and fined $150 to be paid in ten (10)  days or, in default, serve seven (7) days in prison for Failing to Comply with Directions Given by a Traffic Sign.
     
    OTHER ACTIVITIES: 
     
    Abandoned Properties Searched: Police continued to execute searches on properties.  Most recently they were done in the areas of Irish Town, Mad House Alley, Upper Shaw Avenue, Brunder Avenue, Nevis Street, Upper Market Street, Sandy Point and Central Fiennes Avenue  
     
    Search Warrants Executed: Police executed several search warrants during the period of this report. Warrants were executed on properties in the following areas: New Castle, Brick Kiln Village and Craddock Road.
