By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, June 06.2018 – ACTION in the St. Kitts-Nevis Football Association (SKNFA) Final Four playoffs continues this evening as teams are looking to rebound and keep their hopes alive.

When the first whistle blows off from 6:00 p.m., defending champions FLOW 4G Cayon Rockets battles S. L Horsfords St. Paul’s, and that will be followed by Rams Village Superstars tackling SOL Island Auto Conaree from 8:30 p.m.

In the opening round of action on Sunday (June 06), Village Superstars drew first blood when they defeated St. Paul’s 2-nil.

Tahir Hanley was the chief destroyer of the St. Paul’s defense, as he accounted for the two goals in the game.

He opened the scoring in the 9th minute, before adding the second in the 73rd minute to give his team the full three points and one step into the finals.

In the other game on Sunday, played to a Flow 4G Cayon Rockets and SOL Island Auto Supplies Conaree F.C. played to a nil-nil draw.

Both teams tied on one point each, while, St. Paul’s remain without a point.

Cayon’s Coach George “Yellowman” Isaac was satisfied with his team’s performance playing to the stalemate.

“The game was a positive game. It was a good game in the first half. We had both teams going on the attack and on the defense, but I tried to allow my guys to press a little more going forward and try to keep the ball in the attacking third.”

Conaree’s assistant coach, DeWayne Delaney believes that the game was a evenly matched.

“Basically, it was a keenly contested match. Both teams want the ‘W’ but unfortunately, we have to share the spoils. We were a bit apprehensive in the first half in terms of allowing the play to come to us instead of being proactive and moving forward. We did a little better job in the second half but that is something we have to work on in terms of moving forward in the competition.”

A win this evening will place the Village Superstars into next weeks finals, while another defeat for St. Paul’s will seem them being eliminated with one game left in the round robin phase.
