Isaac, and His Excellency Mr. Christian M. Nkambule, High Commissioner of the Kingdom of eSwatini signed a joint communique officially establishing diplomatic relations. The joint communiqué formalising ties between the two countries marks another significant milestone for the Federation and progresses the Government’s commitment to expand its diplomatic engagement with the governments and people across Africa.

High Commissioner Isaac informed his colleague High Commissioner Nkambule of St. Kitts and Nevis’s desire to deepen and increase relations with the African community. Dr Isaac thanked High Commissioner Nkambule for accepting the hand of friendship and comradery which has allowed them to work so seamlessly together to achieve this important milestone. High Commissioner Isaac highlighted the passion and enthusiasm that both countries share in the areas of Tourism development, expanding opportunities through education, people empowerment and culture, and pledged to work with the Kingdom of eSwatini to share best practices to advance both nations.

The High Commissioner of the Kingdom of ESwatini, formerly known as Swaziland exalted the establishment of diplomatic relations by committing himself to the enrichment of the relationship in London and beyond. He further noted that the Kingdom of eSwatini is equally committed to building stronger diplomatic linkages by deepening the people to people contacts between the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.  His Excellency High Commissioner Nkambule affirmed that the signing of diplomatic relations between both countries is only the first step, as he seeks to strengthen the cooperation between both nations by signing the Reciprocal Visa Exemption Agreement shortly.

High Commissioner Isaac, on behalf of Foreign Minister Brantley, extended an invitation for the eSwatini Foreign Minister and High Commissioner Christian M. Nkambule to visit the Federation.  His Excellency Dr Isaac drew attention to the various events taking place in the months of June and July and suggested that that would be of keen interest to the Government and, especially, the people of the Kingdom of eSwatini. The eSwatini team happily reciprocated and pledged to advance the spirit of cooperation enshrined in the joint communiqué.
