In preparation for the for the 2018 Atlantic Hurricane Season The NEMA and Red Cross will be hosting a Shelter Toolkit Training. This will strengthen our ability as a coordinating Agency to support response.
Participants will be exposed to the basic skills and knowledge re use of the the Shelter Tool Kit to repair homes and or to apply taupaulin/plastic sheeting to the roof after an impact. This initiative will empower our district volunteers to truly become first responders.
This training is scheduled for today, 21st and 22nd June 2018 at the NEMA Headquarters. Session on both days start at 9:00 a.m. and runs until 4:00 p.m.
*Please note that this particular training has practical component, which will take place on the 22nd. Grateful for any coverage that you may provide to your consumers/subscribers, despite this late notice.
