Tuesday 26th June 2018 -- In a small but significant ceremony, the St. Christopher and Nevis Social Security Board officially donated a Canon Multi-purpose Printer to the Cayon Police Station.
This kind gesture is in response to a request made in January 2018 from the Cayon Police Station in support of their strategic goal of improved service delivery to the public and ensuring that officers are adequately equipped to execute their duties.
Sergeant Delroy Harris of The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, expressed his appreciation for the Board’s continued commitment towards the Security Forces. “This printer will assist the officers of the Cayon Police Station with their daily administration work.”
Director (Ag.), Mr. Elvin Bailey during his remarks, indicated that support towards the Nations security forces is an ascribed role of the Social Security Board. He further explained the Board’s Corporate Social commitment to allocate funds annually to aid in the ongoing efforts of crime prevention. “On behalf of the Board, Management and Staff of Social Security, it gives me great joy to officially hand over this multi-purpose Printer to the Cayon Police Station”, the Director (Ag.) ended.
The handover ceremony was chaired by Public Relations Manager, Ms. Kamilah Lawrence; invocation by M.I.S Officer, Mr. Previn Browne and Vote of Thanks by Public Relations Officer, Ms. Tasha Hendrickson.
