June 30th, 2018 -- The Sandy Point Benevolent Society (SPBS) is proud to partner with Mr. Albert Evans as the keynote speaker for its 21st Anniversary Awards Gala to be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Maestros in the Bronx, New York.
Long before his first day in grade school, Albert began living his life's purpose as an educator. At the age of four, he was teaching the headstones that formed the base structure of his home as well as the shrubs that marked the southern boundary of his parents' lot. It was the delight of his neighbor to the east, as she observed him in action as he drilled the ABCs and Time Tables to his students.
Having graduated from the St. Kitts- Nevis Grammar School, Albert began his core purpose as an educator at the age of 16. Beginning at Middle Island Elementary School, Albert taught in several schools before migrating to Canada where he resumed his passion after pursing degrees in Political Science and Education at York University and the University of Toronto, respectively. Albert recalls that some of his best years were at Sandy Point Junior School.
Albert's personal love for education and the encouragement of administrators provided the pathway to positions of higher authority. In preparing for his role, Albert obtained a Masters Degree in Educational Administration at Niagara University in New York and became a Vice Principal and Principal with Peel District School Board in Ontario, Canada.
Recognizing the importance of giving back, Albert readily answered the call to become part of the St. Kitts Association in Toronto, Canada where he served as Vice President of the organization for several years. In 2005, Albert was awarded the Academic Excellence Award by the Association.
With his professional experience and acquired knowledge in educational matters, Albert has been called upon to provide motivation to youth groups, workers in trades, and newly trained teachers. Albert also adds value to people's lives by providing counsel and facilitating problem situations that arise between individuals and groups with educational concerns and social relationships.
Albert is an award-winning author of "Defeating the Enemy to Your Success, How to Break Through to a Life of Wealth Creation and Success". His second book: How to Uncover Your Wealth Zone -- Finding the Keys to Your Wealthy Life is due to be released in a few months.
Albert has been a winner throughout his life and understands what it takes to attain success in life.
