(EMU), St. Kitts, July 4, 2018 -- The BHS Stormers left St Kitts for Curacao on Tuesday 3rd July to compete in the Trupial Classics 2018 Athletic Track Meet.
Surrounded by family, friends and Education Officials the team left the Federation eager and confident. The Invitation Only Trupial Classic, is an annual meet which will be held this year July 6th -8th at the National Stadium in Curacao.
The three-day meet will feature celebrated athletes from around the region. The team led by Coach Mattaniah Wallace comprises 13 athletes. Coach Wallace detailed, “It is a three-in-one competition, on day one, a relay competition, day two – the athletics classics and on day three – the road race competition. In all we have 13 athletes who will be representing the institution and by extension the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.”
The trip was made possible by donations from the Ministry of Education, Basseterre High School which hosted a dinner and fun day and other private sector entities.
