Man escapes injury in Franklands traffic accident

By: Stanford Conway, SKNVibes

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A man, Saturday evening (July 25), escaped injuries but was physically shaken and taken to the Joseph N France General Hospital after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a wall.

Saturday, at approximately 6:30 p.m., a Honda CRV P4713, owned by Glenford Gumbs but was driven by David Greenway, crashed into a wall in Franklands, a short distance away from the home of Barrister-at-Law Consie Mitchum.

On eyewitness told SKNVibes that the vehicle was travelling eastward along the island main road in Franklands when it appeared that “the driver seemed to have lost control and crashed into the wall on the mountain side”.

On arrival at the scene, this media house found that the left front of the vehicle was extensively damaged but the driver did not sustain any injury. He however seemed at the time to be in shock and was taken to the hospital by a unit from the Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

According to the eyewitness, “The EMS is working! I was utterly surprised to see an ambulance from Sandy Point arrived at the accident scene just minutes after the call was made and, about two minutes after another one came from town.””

Gumbs was however transported by the unit that came from the JNF General Hospital.
