By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Jul. 05.2018 – POLICE have taken two persons into custody as they continue with their investigations into the spate of break-ins at Spring Hill, Nevis.

On June 30, occupants of two homes in the said area were robbed at gunpoint while at a third, the residents were able to chase off the perpetrators.

Police, while stopping short of naming the individuals, said in a statement the duo were taken into custody on Monday, July 02 as the investigators in Division ‘C’ (Nevis) followed every lead to find the perpetrators.

They noted that a vehicle was impounded in relation to the robberies as part of the ongoing investigation.

Superintendent Lyndon David, who is responsible for District ‘C’, said that they would leave no stone unturned. The police in Nevis are committed to doing all they can to find the persons who have been involved in this type of activity on the island.

In the first robbery, police said shortly after 4 a.m. at a home in Spring Hill where Brett Floyd, Lauren Gosse, Sandy Dell and McLain Reese were vacationing, three unknown, masked assailants broke into the house and held them at gunpoint and demanded money. The gunmen made off with an undisclosed sum of money and two cell phones. No one was harmed during the incident.

Following that incident, police said they had received a report shortly after, from the home of Roger Tooze in Spring Hill.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that a noise was heard at the door of the home and when checks were made, a male figure was seen standing outside the glass front door. However, the resident managed to scare off the perpetrators and, as a result, three individuals were seen running away from the property.

In a third reported incident, law enforcement officers said Oliver Zuber-Kaldenbach and his family were held up at gunpoint and the gunmen demanded money. The assailants escaped with an undisclosed sum of money. No one was injured during the incident.

The Police are seeking the public’s assistance in apprehending individuals connected to two-armed robbery incidents on June 30 in the Spring Hill area. Persons with information are urged to call the Charlestown Police Station at 469-5391/5392 or their nearest Police Station.
