Martinique - Fort de France - the 09th of July 2018 -- Eric Godard, engineer at the Regional Health Agency of Martinique speaks of a bad evolution of the way the file is treated. Less transparency, fewer concrete actions.

Thus he denounces: "contradictory statements revealing a certain distance with the truth and the facts led only to discredit still more the word of the State".

Eric Godard is one of those who, in the 2000s, had already alerted on the pollution of rivers in Chlordecone, today he questions the "influence of economic interests in the management of the file".

This is the second time that the protest emanates from within the LRA. Earlier this year, the MTEF union took similar positions in an open letter.

Recall that since the broadcast last January on public television, Martinique Première, the report on the chlordecone journalist Cécile Marre, many national media have denounced the scandal that has poisoned a part of the soil of Martinique for several hundred years.
