St. Kitts & Nevis, July 24, 2018 – FLOW values highly, the importance of educating the young minds of our Federation and continues to contribute significantly through its 2018 Annual Back to School Promotion. This is in addition to some seventy (70) high school students currently on scholarship and educational assistance from FLOW. FLOW’s High School Scholarship programme has been in existence for 30 years and is the longest running scholar initiative in St. Kitts and Nevis, after TDC’s scholarship programme.
A total of seven hundred and sixty-two (762) educational packages were individually wrapped with FLOW branded knapsacks, exercise books, rulers, pens, pencils & lanyards. The graduation ceremonies held for these students presented opportunities for FLOW to congratulate and encourage their efforts and successes during the school year. Cherished moments in many cases never to be relived, except in their memories. This kind gesture and investment in education by FLOW was also supported by our social partners Laws Books Store and Sun Island Clothes with discount gift vouchers for school supplies from their stores. We are indeed grateful for their partnership.
Moreover, FLOW offered a discount on one of the latest Smartphones, the Alcatel U5 as another way of helping our nation’s students and their families defray back-to-school costs. The level of satisfaction and pride shown by the parents, guardians and students was vividly marked on their faces when each of the students received their educational gift packages from FLOW.
Clearly, FLOW remains a key player in moulding the youths and shaping the education landscape of our twin island Federation with these initiatives. We greatly encourage the students to embrace this opportunity to learn and to take advantage of every opportunity for educational advancement presented to them in the new school year.
