New Labour candidate Dr. Geoffrey Hanley makes debut at press conference Wednesday afternoon

    Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 25, 2018 – A new face will be at the head table when the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) holds its monthly press conference this afternoon (Wednesday).

     

    Former Director of Youth and retired Principal of the Bronte Welsh Primary School, Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, will join the Labour Party’s National Political Leader and Leader of the Opposition, the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas at the press conference which starts at 1:30 p.m.

    “I stand and declare, in my acceptance, a oneness of purpose with all persons here present, as well as with all the people of St. Christopher #1 and all nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis, living at home and abroad. I humbly ask each person here present to take this good news to your homes, on your jobs, and everywhere you go. Take the message that Geoffrey has accepted the call to serve with four simple yet significant words. Let everyone know that Geoffrey has said yes, I am with you,” said Hanley in remarks during which he accepted the torch from his predecessor, Dr. Earl Asim Martin on July 5 at a gala event at the Royal St. Kitts Hotel.

    SKNLP Deputy Political Leader, Hon. Marcella Liburd, Parliamentary Representative for St., Christopher 2 (Central Basseterre); SKNLP chairman Dr. Terrance Drew, St. Christopher 8 candidate and Hon. Konris Maynard, Parliamentary Representative St. Christopher 3 (West Basseterre) will also attend the press conference.

    The press conference will be held during Freedom FM 106.5 Wednesday Issues programme. It will also ve carried live on Kyss 102.5 FM and streamed via the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party., Dr. Denzil Douglas, Dr. Terrance Drew and Young Labour FaceBook pages.
