CHARLESTOWN, Nevis, Aug. 07.2018 – POISE and confidence, two words often used in beauty pageants to describe the way a queen carries herself on stage, are the same words being used to define Neila Jones, as she dominated the 2018 Culturama Miss Cultural Pageant to walk away with the crown.
Jones, Miss Carib Brewery St. Kitts-Nevis, blew away her competition, recording 828 points to first runner, Tywana Cranston, Miss Development Bank of St. Kitts & Nevis, 758 points.
The bright smiling beauty dominated the judged segments, taking home the awards for the Best Cultural Speech, Best Cultural Wear, the Best Performing Talent and the Best Evening Wear Appearance.
She was tied with Cranston for the Best Interview Award.
The event, which was watched on by a near capacity crowd at the newly renovated Cultural Complex, saw four beautiful ladies competing for the crown put on a cultural displace on the stage in all segments of the competition.
Jones also took home the Most Photogenic title and the Most Popular award.
The Miss Congeniality and Chairperson Awards were won by Ariel Bergan, Miss Flow.
Activities for the Culturama festival continued yesterday morning with the popular jouvert, while in the evening eight beauties from across the region graced the stage in the annual Caribbean Culture Queen Pageant.
