BVI, August 17th, 2018 -- Director of the Taxi and Livery Commission, Mr. Dameon Percival is encouraging taxi operators to start making preparations for the return of Disney Cruise line on August 28.

He said, “Taxi drivers should prepare for the upcoming Disney calls by making sure their vehicle is in top working condition, and they have all of their paper work up to date and on hand.”

For the day, taxi operators should:

Wear proper attire approved to operate at the cruise pier
Ensure licence is up to date.
Ensure they have working hands free PA systems.
Ensure vehicle is in good condition with no physical or mechanical defects, which is mandated by the law.
Mr. Percival noted that inspections will be carried out on August 28 at the cruise pier to ensure that operators are in good standing with regulations.

The Taxi and Livery Commission in partnership with the Tourist Board has ongoing training to educate and assist taxi operators in being optimal ambassadors for the Territory.
