BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Aug. 22.2018 – POLICE have their hands full with the current crime problem, as the federation recorded two more instances of shooting in St. Kitts within a 12-hour span.
Late last evening, one person was shot a short distance away from where the lifeless body of Kasim Buchanan was found.
Police today, only confirmed that a man was shot and injured in the area of Nevis Street.
Police confirmed that gunshots were reported this morning, in a second shooting incident in the Taylors area. .
No further details have been provided so far on the either of the incidents.
Those shootings come after Police Sergeant Leon Powell of Newton Ground, was gunned down following an armed robbery at his business premises in the early hours of Saturday, 18 August.
Two days later, Buchanan’s lifeless body was found in an alley between Nevis Street and College Street Ghaut.
Police in a statement to the media said that the body bore signs of injuries.
