BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Aug. 24.2018 – AFTER taking a swim in the waters in Nevis, 71-year-old Curiel Robinson of Charlestown has gone missing; and search exercises have turned up no success.

Ranks of the Royal St. Kitts-Nevis Coast Guard conducted searches at sea, while members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force conducted searches on land for Robinson.

Police in a statement to the media today said they received a report at around 11:00 a.m. yesterday (Aug. 23) that Robinson had gone swimming and did not return.

Their preliminary investigations have revealed that at 6 a.m. on Thursday, Robinson met with another person. Enquiries revealed, that the man swam from Fort Charles heading towards Jessups, while the other person walked to the same area. The last place Curiel Robinson was seen was somewhere off the Charlestown Pier. At the time of this report, he had not been heard from.
