    Roadtown, Tortola - Government is inviting tenders for construction management services for the general interior remediation project for the Central Administration Complex.

    The construction manager’s services shall be provided in conjunction with the services of an architect as described in the American Institution of Architect Document B801/Construction Manager advisor (CMa) Standard Form of Agreement between the Owner and Construction Manager, Construction Manager-Adviser Edition, current as of this agreement.  

    Additionally, the Construction Manager shall furnish all expertise, labour and resources necessary to expedite the service provided for the construction administration period of the project in accordance with the requirements of the AIA form B801/CMa.

    The works consist of furnishing all plant, labour, equipment and materials and performing all operations in connection with the demolition and removal of ceiling grid including the removal and disposal of ceiling; removal of return grills, and air condition diffusers; demolition, removal and disposal of fibreglass ducts and metal ducts amongst other operations.

    Tenderers will be required to submit certificates of good standing from the Director of the Social Security Board, the Commissioner of Inland Revenue and the Registrar of Corporate Affairs, as well as a valid trade license.  The issue date on the certificates should be no earlier than one month prior to the date of submission.  Tenderers will be required to provide a tender security in the form of a letter of intent from a bank or insurance company for a sum equivalent to 10 percent of the contract sum.

     

    Tender documents are available upon request from the Chairman of the Public Tenders Committee in the Procurement Unit of the Ministry of Finance and will be distributed effective Monday, August 10 until Friday, August 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

     The documents must be accompanied by a non-refundable $200 fee paid by cash or bank cashier’s cheque payable to the Accountant General. The deadline for the submission of tenders is Tuesday, September 1 no later than 10a.m.

    Tenders will be publicly opened on Tuesday, September 1 at the Ministry of Finance (Procurement Unit), RFG Place, Third Floor at noon.   For more information, interested persons can telephone the Procurement Coordinator Mrs. Ishma Hodge-Rhymer at the Procurement Unit at 468-3701 ext. 4243 or 4244.
