BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Aug. 31.2018 - A shooting incident in Sandy Point, late this afternoon, has left one man dead and a police officer nursing gunshot injuries.
Police confirmed to SKNVibes News that the dead man was the individual wanted in connection to the shooting death of Sergeant Leon Powell who was gunned down during a recent robbery.
Though the officer could not speak to the circumstances surrounding the death of the wanted man, SKNVibes understands that there was a shootout in the area between the individual and law enforcement officers.
Police are currently on the scene carrying out their investigations.
