Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 9, 2018 – The East Basseterre Labour Candidate for Constituency #1, Dr. Geoffrey Hanley had a message for several primary schools he visited during the first week of the new school year.
“Work hard. Give of your best and strive for excellence,” Dr. Hanley told the students when he delivered school supplies to students of Beach Allen Primary School, Bronte Welsh Primary School, Seventh-Day Adventist Primary School and Tucker Clarke Primary School.
Dr. Hanley also spent time at his previous school, Lily Of The Valley Preschool in Dorset Village; a school he attended some 43 years ago and continues to make regular visits and contributions
Dr. Hanley also took time out to shower students at The Bronte Welsh Primary School with his love and best wishes and pledged his continued support to the students, teachers, and parents of the school.
While serving as Principal at the Bronte Welsh Primary School in the Boyd’s/West Farm/Trinity area, Dr. Hanley introduced a number of initiatives, which included the enhancement of uniforms through the addition of blazers.
He also introduced security cameras in all classrooms, a state of the art computer lab, interactive white boards, tablets for students, individual computers in classrooms for teachers, an arcade and a kiddies gym.
These innovative initiatives have been lauded by many throughout St. Kitts and Nevis as commendable and timely, as these innovations were implanted for the first time ever in St. Kitts and Nevis and in many cases, the region.
Dr. Hanley continues to demonstrate how his invaluable contributions effectuate positive change in the lives of others. The generous donation of school supplies was deeply appreciated by teachers and students at all the primary schools.
Dr. Hanley is especially pleased to be part of an initiative that helps to equip students for learning and support parents and teachers in the process and has proved time and again that he is a visionary and a true servant leader.
