Autopsy reveals Vincent Taylor died from shot to the head

By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Sept. 12.2018 – AN autopsy conducted on the body of the late Vincent Taylor has revealed that he died of a single gunshot wound to the head.

The autopsy, which was recently conducted on his remains by Forensic Pathologist, Dr. Valery Alexandrov, confirmed that the body bore a number of gunshot wounds.

However, after completing the examination, Dr. Valery concluded that Taylor had multiple non-fatal gunshot wounds and one fatal suicidal gunshot wound to the head, police said in a media statement.

Taylor died following a shootout with police in August, after law enforcement officials said he was cornered in a premises in Sandy Point.

Police fingered the man as the prime suspect in the shooting death of Sergeant Leon Powell, who was gunned down following an armed robbery at his Newton Ground establishment.

A coroner's inquest into his death is expected to be conducted in the near future.
