BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, September 19, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) -- The two Mansion-based teams in the ‘Boys on the Ground’ James Harris T20 Cricket League, Back Street and Front Street Limers, on Sunday September 16 at the Mansion Stadium each collected maximum points. However, one of the teams did not even step on the field to collect the points.

The first game of the afternoon would have seen home team Front Street Limers coming up against the visiting Christchurch from just across the ridge. The home team won by default over Christchurch who could not raise enough players to make a team.

In the second game between Back Street and Lodge, the latter batted first and were 72 in 18 overs, with Craig ‘Hammer’ Benjamin making 24 runs. Bowling for Back Street, Phillip Webb took three for 18, Kevin Hanley took two for 14, and Emson Davis took two for 6.

When it was the turn for Back Street to bat, they made 74 for one off 8.4 overs with former National and Leeward Islands player Shane Jeffers 43 not out, and Phillip Webb making 21. Bowling for Lodge, Leroy Maynard took one for 20, leaving Back Street to win by nine wickets.

The ‘Boys on the Ground’ James Harris T20 Cricket League continues on Sunday September 23 at the Mansion Stadium. According to the League Coordinator, John Palmer, the first game at 1:15 pm will see Tabernacle take on Guyanese, while the second game starting at 3:25 pm will have Molineux taking on newcomers HMP Ballers.
