BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Sept. 22.2018 – AN autopsy conducted on the body of the late Paul Mitchum of Cayon, has revealed that the man died as a result of drowning.
Police in a statement noted that the post-mortem was performed yesterday by Resident Pathologist, Dr. Adrian Nunez, who concluded that “the cause of death was as a result of Asphyxia Due to Drowning”.
Police said that on September 17, 60-year-old Mitchum encountered difficulty while at sea, and was pulled out of the water by a family member.
He was unresponsive. Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Technicians were summoned to the scene and their efforts to revive him were futile.
