The new appointment was announced by Hon. Mark Brantley, Premier of Nevis at his monthly press conference at the Cabinet Room, Pinney’s Estate on October 02, 2018.

“Ms. Zahnela Claxton, as we know, has a wide experience in education from Early Childhood to Adult Education. She holds a Master's degree in Adult Education from Texas A&M University in Texarkana, Texas and she has been deeply involved in education in the United States.

Mr. Brantley acknowledged that the role of PEO is a difficult and important one and expressed hope that Ms. Claxton would do well in her new position.
