BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Sept. 07.2018 – POLICE in a statement on Sunday (Oct. 07) confirmed that Forensic Pathologist, Dr. Valery Alexandrov performed a post-mortem on the body of 56-year-old John Gumbs.
The statement said that Dr. Alexandrov concluded that Gumbs’ death was the result of multiple stab wounds to the body.
The autopsy was conducted on October 4.
On October 1, the lifeless body of Gumbs was found lying in a drain on Branch Street in Newtown with what appeared at the time to be stab wounds.
Police noted that investigations into the matter are ongoing and they are urging persons with information regarding this incident to call the Violent Crimes Unit at 467-1887, 467-1888, or 662-3468 or their nearest Police Station.
