BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, October 15, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) -- St. Kitts National Cricket Team Captain, Jacques Taylor, exuded style and brilliance as his team Molineux beat Lodge on Sunday October 14 at the Mansion Stadium in the final four playoffs of the ‘Boys on the Ground’ James Harris T20 Cricket League.

The two teams met in the fourth match of the playoffs which featured second placed teams in the two groups. Molineux was the second placed in Group A, while Lodge was second placed in Group B. When the two came up against each other on Sunday, Lodge won the toss and sent Molineux in to bat.

Molineux made 88 runs for six from the full 20 overs, with Jacques Taylor making 44 runs and Ronald Luis Williams Jr. 14 runs. Molineux’s Clayton Skeete, who was later to feature prominently when the team went to bowl in the second half, made four runs before he was brilliantly caught by Xavier Saunders at backward square. Bowling for Lodge Valentine Anthony took three for seven.

Lodge in their batting were all out for 80 in 17.4 overs, with another of the St. Kitts Cricket National Team players, Jaheel ‘Peewee’ Clarke, making 35 runs. Bowling for Molineux Clayton Skeete took four for 14 and Ronald Louis Williams Sr. two for 14. Molineux won the fourth match of the playoffs by eight runs. Umpires for the match were Sherline Malone, and Tynetta McKoy.

Match number three between the two Mansion Village teams, winners of Group B, Back Street, and winners of Group A, Front Street Limers, was won by default as one of the teams could be raise enough players. Back Street players were on time and raring to go, but players from Front Street Limers were rather slack as those available for the match could not make a team, which therefore gave Back Street two easy points.

The final two matches in the final four playoffs will be played on Sunday October 21 at the same venue. Match five, which will be the first for the afternoon will have winner in Group A, Front Street Limers coming up against second placed in Group A, Molineux. The final match, which will be the sixth in the playoffs, will feature winner in Group B, Back Street, and second placed in Group B, Lodge.

According to the coordinator of the ‘Boys on the Ground’ James Harris T20 Cricket League, John Palmer, as of Sunday October 14, point standings for the final four are Molineux three points, Back Street three points, Lodge two points, and none for Front Street Limers.
