Press Release

Basseterre, St. Kitts - Saturday will be a day of fun for families as the Kiwanis Club of Liamuiga hosts a Family Fun Day at Independence Square.

The event, which was successfully held at the same venue in September 2006, will feature fun and energizing activities for children of all ages, including traditional games like Lime and Spoon, Sack Race, Needle and Thread, and Musical Chairs.  Face-painting, balloon-twisting, and the popular bouncing castles will also add to the day’s festivities.

President of the community service Club, Leon Bullen, expects the event to be a memorable one.  He says, “the purpose of the event is to strengthen the bonds between parents and their children through fun activities.  This is in keeping with the mission of the club which seeks to help in the development of children worldwide.”

Admission is free for the Family Fun Day, which will take place from 1-5 pm.  Drinks and refreshments, such as cook-up and goat water, will be on sale, as well as popular kids’ treats, such as cotton-candy, popcorn and hotdogs.

The Kiwanis Club of Liamuiga invites one and all to come out and enjoy this day of fun and frolic for the entire family.
