Rotary Club of Liamuiga Set to Host 2018 Spelling Bee

By: RCL, Press Release

Basseterre, St. Kitts – The Rotary Club of Liamuiga will host its 14th Annual Primary School Spelling Bee Competition on Thursday October 25th, 2018 at 4 p.m. at the ECCB Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium. This annual youth service project is one of the many projects hosted the Club to improve our local communities, promote education and literacy and develop the youth of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

The Rotary year began on July 1st, 2018 under the theme “Be the Inspiration.” To this end, the Rotary Club of Liamuiga endeavours to live up to the theme by inspiring the nation’s youth through this primary school spelling bee and other youth-focused activities.

“Our Spelling Bee competition is our premier youth service project and this year is no different as there will be 22 primary schools competing,” said Ms Natasha St. Juste, President of the Rotary Club of Liamuiga. “We invite everyone to attend and show these young students support and encouragement as they vie to become this year’s Spelling Bee champion.”

Admission to the event is free for all persons.
