Friday 5th October, 2018 (St. Kitts) – The St. Kitts Nevis National Carnival Swimsuit Pageant Committee held one of many events in preparation for its upcoming show to be held on Thursday 27th, December.
The “Meet the Queens” inaugural event was held on Thursday 4th October at Boozies on Princes Street to provide brief but informative information, as well as, experiences, from past National Carnival Queens. Among the past Queens were Auralie Buchanan, Tamieka Pereira and Tracy Thompson, as well as, the reigning National Carnival Swimsuit Queen, Jahkeima Flemming.
Past Queens reinforced the importance of being confident, having high self-esteem and provided other useful tips that will resonate in the hearts and minds of the contestants.
CEO of Boozies, Mr. Kevin Walters, when approached to host this event at his establishment, was not hesitant or reluctant but exuded great enthusiasm and patriotism.
Chairperson of the National Carnival Swimsuit Pageant, Ms. Samantha Boone, chose the venue based on its location, the ambiance and the private dining area that was most appropriate for achieving the objectives of the “Meet the Queens.” According to Ms. Boone, the event was successful and productive and provided the contestants in this year’s Pageant a greater appreciation for pageantry.
Ms. Boone expresses heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the overwhelming support received from the management and staff at Boozies, Chris ‘Moonlight’ Roberts, the past and reigning queens, the 2018/19 contestants and all who made the event a success.
