CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – A NUMBER of unregulated troupes has caused the delay in announcing the winners in the Culturama 35 Cultural Street Parade which occurred on Tuesday, August 4.

Up to Friday evening the only result in was that of Road March Kings, which turned out to be the Odisi Band with their song ‘Sweetness’.

According to head of the Festival Secretariat Abernathy Liburd, a few troupes did not register for the parade but just showed up and joined the queue. He said this made the job of the judges difficult in identifying the various troupes.

SKNVibes reported earlier that some 22 troupes were part of the parade which was led by Culturama 35 patron Owen Bussue. Also part of the parade was Miss Culture 35 Masinda Nisbett, Kaiso King I-Soursop, Junior Soca Monarch De Inspirer, and Mr. and Miss Teen Talent Shaqia Claxton and Aliyah Caines.

The bands included Odisi, Ultra Sonic, Ultimate and Two Links Sound System.
