After this match Village Asst. Coach Stephen Clarke lauded his team’s resilience to regain control of the match and snatch all three points. “We had a very good start but after going two goals up we kind of fell asleep and started going through the motions and lost the energy we had at the start of the game. Honestly I think this was a well-deserved (win), Clarke said. “We definitely have to focus mentally.”

However, Coach Austin ‘Dico’ Huggins of Spurs lamented giving up a late goal after fighting to get back in the game and said injuries have been a major problem for his team. “I still think the guys deserved victory; they played well but those things happen in football. We were going for the win and they caught us on the counter. Next time we have to be more mindful and careful on what happens in the game,” Coach Huggins said. “Most of my better players are injured. I have not been able to play with a full strength team for the season yet,” Huggins said.
