Press Release

Basseterre, St. Kitts - As the recent upsurge in gang crime and violence in our Federation, has left many families confused, grief-stricken, mad, and most of all scared, citizens of St. Kitts & Nevis must search for a way to bring positive living back to our communities and salvage the fragmented structure of youth development and family values that seem to have been left along the wayside.

To this effect, the St. Kitts National Youth Parliament Association (SKNYPA) has initiated a project called “COMCENTAPLAY” which they hope will bring families, Church groups, social clubs and community leaders together to have fun and socialize in an old fashion manner in song and games. SKNYPA hopes to make this project an island wide affair, by hosting this event at a different Community Center each month.

The next upcoming COMECENTAPLAY will be held at the St. Peters Community Center on Friday August 14 , 2009 from 7pm-11pm.

Drinks and snacks will be provided at a meager cost. All residents of the St. Peters community as asked to come on out in their high spirits for a fun-filled evening to assist the SKNYParians in their efforts to revitalize our communities with some decent, wholesome recreation.

Security will be present at all COMCENTAPLAY events, and a code of conduct will be put in place to ensure that persons are protected and safe at all times.

For more information, contact any member of the St. Kitts National Youth Parliament Association.
