Basseterre, St. Kitts, (9 November 2018) - The Ministry of International Trade, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs in collaboration with the World Trade Organization (WTO) will be hosting a three-day workshop focusing on the WTO Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Agreement.
The workshop will be held over the period 13 - 15 November 2018 at the National ICT Centre at the C. A. Paul Southwell Industrial Site.
The main objective of this workshop is to increase the level of awareness of Public and Private sector officials in St. Kitts and Nevis on the various components of the SPS Agreement. The workshop will provide nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis with the opportunity to share their experiences and challenges faced with the implementation of the SPS Agreement.
This initiative is part of an ongoing effort between the government of St. Kitts and Nevis and the World Trade Organisation, as we continue our capacity building efforts within the Federation.
