BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - FANS of one of the most famous plays coming out of Jamaica, Bashment Granny, which stars Shebada, will soon be able to enjoy this masterpiece on screen.
According to Trevor Reid, writer of the famous plays Bashment Granny One and Two, as well as Shebada Cums to Town, he is currently working on Bashment Granny the movie plans are also on the front burner for Bashment Granny Three. Reid informed that he would be playing the role of ‘Bad Boy Trevor’ in the movie, but dates for its release and part three of the play are still uncertain.
Reid, who after being cast in a number of popular Jamaica plays, ventured into writing some of his own pieces. He is described as a triple threat in the theatrical world - actor, writer and director.
“I am a better director than I am an actor, and a better writer than I am an actor. That being said, I am a very good actor,” he told one876radio.
The writer grew up in Mandeville but moved to the quiet countryside of St. Mary and landed his first acting role in 1989 in ‘Hearsay’.
