Strengthening Coastal Road Infrastructure Resilience to Geophysical and Climate Related Hazards in St. Kitts and Nevis

    November 26th, 2018 -- The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis (GSKN) is currently undertaking the project entitled: Strengthening Coastal Road Infrastructure Resilience to Geophysical and Climate Related Hazards in St. Kitts and Nevis which will evaluate the vulnerability of the coastal road network to climate change and geophysical hazards and develop a project to strengthen the resilience of coastal roads specifically in the communities ofFortlands/Irishtown and New Guinea. The project includes community surveys that will assess the vulnerability of the targeted communities to climate change and geophysical hazards and their capacity to adapt.

     

    Representatives of the consultancy firm CEAC Solutions Company Ltd., assisted by students of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) and representatives of the Public Works Department, will be undertaking community surveys in the following communities: Fortlands, McKnight, Irishtown, The Village, Half Way Tree, New Guinea and Sandy Point during the period Monday, November 26th to Friday December 7th, 2018.
     
    In this regard, the GSKN is seeking the cooperation of citizens and residents in the identified communities in order to ensure the successful completion of these important surveys.
