The "RSKGC Dream Team“ of The Royal St Kitts Golf Club wins 2018 ECGA Golf Tournament Championship Event in Anguilla

    November 30th, 2018 -- A total of 74 golfers from Anguilla, which hosted the 48th Annual Eastern Caribbean Golf Association (ECGA) tournament over the period 16-18 November 2018, Antigua and Barbuda, Montserrat, St Croix, St Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia and St Maarten came together at the Greg Norman course of the Cuisinart Golf Resort and Spa to compete in the 2018 ECGA Golf tournament.

     

    Under sunny conditions with a good prevailing breeze, the St.Kitts and  Nevis team, captained by Raymond Percival, put on a formidable performance of which the members (Canice Louis, Cedric Jeffers, Charles Blake, Christine McEachrane, Debbie Widdowson, Derionne Flemming, Jeremy Burgess, Gwen Bailey, Mikey Ryan, Tony Bowrin and Zeke Percival) were all very proud.   

    On 18 November 2018, during the award ceremony at the Cuisinart Golf Resort and Spa, it was announced that the „RSKGC Dream Team“ as they were being called, won the overall Team Low Gross which is the championship event. In addition, they also won the Men's Team Gross, the Senior Men's Team Net, and the Super Senior Men's Team 2nd Gross and the Closest to the Pin.

    In only their fourth participation in ECGA tournaments, Anguilla succeeded in winning the Championship Team Low Net event.

    As individual players, members of Team St Kitts and Nevis also walked away with trophies for the superb feats, outlined below:   

    In the Men's category:
     
    1. Raymond Percival, with a total score of 146 over the two days, took home the trophy for the lowest gross score  
     
    2. Charles „Rock“ Blake captured the 2nd Place Low Gross; and
     
    3. Derionne Fleming achieved the 3rd Place Low Gross.
     
    Continuing the „RSKGC Dream Team's“ winning streak were:
     
    In the Seniors category:  Cedric Jeffers placed second in the Low Net event 
     
    In the Super Seniors category:  the 2nd Place Low Gross was won by Canice Louis; and 

    Closest to the Pin:  Derionne Fleming.
     
    On returning home the victorious St Kitts and Nevis team gave a big thank you to their sponsors, The Royal St Kitts Golf Club, St Kitts Marriott Golf and others for their continued support.
