NASSAU, Bahamas – THE ‘Get Low’ artiste, Flo Rida, is scheduled to entertain patrons at the Miss Universe Pageant, where he is expected to perform two of his recent hits.
According to caribworldnews.com, the American rapper, whose real name is Tramar Dillard, would perform his recent hits ‘Right Round’ and ‘Jump’ as part of a two-song medley during the Swimsuit Competition of the telecast.
This year’s pageant will be held at the Atlantis, Paradise Island in The Bahamas and will be broadcast live on NBC and Telemundo at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23.
Contestants from more than 80 countries, including nine from the Caribbean, will compete for the coveted title and will be judged in three categories: Swimsuit, Evening Gown and Interview.
The Caribbean countries are Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Guyana, Curacao, The Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Turks & Caicos and Aruba.
Reality star Heidi Montag will also perform on the show with her ‘Turn Ya Head’ song which comes from Montag`s debut album, `Unleashed,` that was released in July.
David Guetta and Kelly Rowland will set the tone for the Evening Gown segment of the pageant by performing their hit single, `When Love Takes Over’.
The reigning Miss Universe, Dayana Mendoza who hails from Venezuela, will crown her successor at the conclusion of the 2009 telecast.
