(EMU) – St. Kitts, December 21, 2018: The Ministry of Educations’ Christmas Carollers ventured out into the community this week and continued their tradition by serenading 12 retired educators in St. Kitts.
For the third consecutive year, approximately 15 individuals from the Ministry of Education, gathered, organized, composed and rehearsed for their renditions of classic Christmas carols.
“Events like this take the retirees out of their everyday routine and leave a lasting, positive impression,” announced Donna Bassue, SELF Coordinator and organizer of the venture.
The gesture provided the opportunity for the retirees to socialize with members in the sector and other relatives that were in attendance for the performance.
The retirees were also given holiday gift baskets filled with seasonal gifts compliments of the Ministry.
The Ministry would like to thank the retired educators for welcoming them into their homes. William Hodge, Permanent Secretary stated, “The group had a lovely time, we did amazing performances and it was a really great start to Christmas.”
