Miss. Black San’ Press Release

By: Miss. Black San’, Press Release

Basseterre St. Kitts, Tuesday, 22nd January, 2019 -- As the Black San’ Bang-a-Lang team prepares for the staging of the ninth year of the festival, there is much talks about one of the most anticipated events, The Miss. Black San’ Swimsuit Pageant, which is slated for March 2nd, 2019. The committee is elated about our new sponsors who have joined our team in hopes of carrying the mantle of community development and the personal growth of our contestants.

This year, we are pleased to welcome CaribePay on board with the festival to not only provide a safe, fast and cashless way for our patrons to purchase tickets online, door entrance payments and bar payments the secure way but also to be the official sponsor of contestant number (5), Ms. Dovanice Chumney. Safety is one of our main priority regarding the movement of our funds and for our patrons and vendors hence it is time for us to take it the cashless way.

“We want to create a safe environment in all aspects for our patrons who attend the Black San’ events and for our committee members as well. CaribePay is ideal for us because its fast, secure, cashless and logistically, some of the locations of venues might limit our access to internet connectivity which is not required to use the CaribePay system. Also, several vendors in the community of Sandy Point have already signed on with CaribePay namely E& K Minimart (a main ticket Outlet), Six O’Clock Food Bar and Pizza snackette. These locations lend to easy accessibility to top up machines. CaribePay is also located at many other locations around the federation. We are therefore encouraging our patrons to sign up for CaribePay now via their website at CaribePay.com and support us in our effort to create a safer Black San’.” Says Ms. Treasa Wyatt, the festival chair.

Ms. Chumney who is now one of the ambassadors for CaribePay spoke of how intrigue she is about the system and has already conceptualized her plans for creating more awareness of safety with CaribePay, The Black San’ Way!

“CaribePay is a cashless payment solution system, that allows consumers and businesses to seamlessly complete transactions in stores offline. There is never any need for internet once you are paying with your CaribePay Pre-Paid Card because internet is not necessary. You would simply TOP-UP, your CaribePay card at CaribePay Top-Up Merchants, and it's just like how you TOP-UP your phones. You do not need a bank account to sign up and signing up is free. There are no monthly or annual fees that come with your account. You are using your money every time you use CaribePay. CaribePay is honored to join the BlackSan’ Bang-A-Lang family as we sponsor Contestant #5, Ms. Dovanice Chumney in this year's Swimsuit pageant. We are here to provide a fast, secure and cashless way to pay.” #NoInternetRequired #NoSmartphoneRequired #NoDataPlanRequired #JustTapPayandGo - Anthony Gajor (Representing CaribePay)

The Black San’ Festival is slated for April 6th-27th, 2019 but Kicks off with a major pre-event, the Swimsuit Pageant slated for March 2nd, 2019.
