Student Exchange Program to Guadeloupe

By: Alliance Française de St Kitts & Nevis, Press Release

22nd January 2019 -- The Alliance Française de St Kitts & Nevis is planning a five-days Student Exchange program with the College St. John Perse in Les Abymes, Guadeloupe to enhance the knowledge of language and culture between the Caribbean students and build bridges between the youth of our region.

The trip will be held from Tuesday 19th February to Saturday 23rd February 2019. The program will include a tour of the island, a cultural morning with traditional dance and music « Gwoka », a visit to The Memorial ACTe museum (Regional Museum of Slavery), the traditional night market at Sainte-Anne and a day at the island of Les Saintes.

The program has already started with communication through videos sent by both institutions. Sixteen (16) French students from different High Schools are registered for the program and will embark on the trip to Guadeloupe!

This program is a trademark of our educational mission at the Alliance Française and we hope to attract and nourish the interest of our students through the experience of living the language.

This program has received the support from the Ministry of Education of St. Kitts and Nevis.
