BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, NOVEMBER 21ST 2005 St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Denzil L. Douglas on his way to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Malta, will travel to Italy on Wednesday 23rd November.
Dr. Douglas has been invited to attend the Special Meeting of Heads of State and Government of Small Island Developing States (SIDS) during the 33rd Session of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) in Rome.
Director General of the FAO His Excellency, Dr. Jacques Diouf, is expected to deliver a statement.
Following the presentation of the Ministerial Report by the Chair of the Ministerial Meeting, a draft Declaration will be presented.
Heads of delegation are also expected to deliver statements before adopting the Declaration.
The FAO Meeting will also be attended by St. Kitts and Nevis Director of Agriculture, Dr. Jerome Thomas.
