Autopsies performed on three homicide victims

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE have informed that Forensic Pathologist, Dr. Valery Alexandrov, had performed autopsies on the bodies of three recent homicide victims – Vere Amory, Joel Phillip and Gavin Rogers.

     

    According to Dr. Alexandro, the cause of death of Amory and Phillip was a single gunshot wound to the head, while Rogers; death was due to multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

    Thirty-five-year-old Amory, who was also known as ‘Stiff Jacket’ and ‘Money’, and had resided in Ponds Pasture, Newtown,  was shot and killed in the Alley, Sandy Point shortly after 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday (Feb. 13).

    Joel ‘Bouyaka’ Phillip (25), who resided at St. Johnston Village, was shot to death while asleep in his home at about 2:00 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 14).

    And 25-year-old Gavin Rogers was shot to death in his Wingfield Road home shortly before midday on Thursday (Feb. 14).

    Amory death was the fifth of eight homicides committed in the twin-island Federation for the year, while Phillip and Rogers were the sixth and seventh, respectively.
