BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – ONE of the two individuals, who were in police custody in relation to the shooting-death of 30-year-old Shavaughn ‘El Dorado’ Hendricks, was charged with Murder.
According to a police communiqué, the man charged with the capital offence is 24-year-old Silvester James of Walwyn Avenue, Basseterre.
At about 9:00 a.m. on Monday (Feb. 25), 30-year-old Hendricks was shot and killed while working in the Lime Kiln Project area, a place where he lived.
Almost nine years ago, an attempt was made to take Hendricks’ life in the Lime Kiln Project area.
At approximately 10:45 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2009, while walking with another person towards Lime Kiln Playfield, an armed man approached from the opposite direction and fired a number of shots at them.
He was shot in the left and right chest, abdomen and left arm.
Shavaughn ‘El Dorado’ Hendricks death had taken to eight, the number of homicides committed in the twin-island Federation for the year; seven on St. Kitts and one on Nevis.
