March 4th, 2109 -- The SKNFA National Bank Premier League returned to the Warner Park in grand style this past weekend with a rare occurrence on Sunday when all three matches ended in 3-1 results.  S.L. Horsfords St. Pauls was one of the teams on the wrong end of that result losing to Hobson Enterprises Garden Hotspurs in the marquee matchup.

Coach Austin ‘Dico’ Huggins was thrilled to get one up on his old side and believes his team is finally finding its goal scoring form. “This week we paid a lot of attention to finishing because we realize that we have been failing to score some chances,” he disclosed. He hopes to kick on from this win. “It’ a mental attitude. We have to be positive and we got to keep working because we have not arrived as yet,” he added.

St. Pauls Coach Iroy Cunga Jeffers said he is concerned with the turn of results for his team, as Sunday’s loss was the second in as many games. He believes the team is not giving their best for the fans. “The problem is that we are not playing collective right now at the moment. We just have to fine tune the next couple days in training to get back the players to the winning mentality and the fighting spirit and the guts,” he said. He said the fans should be concerned with the performance of the team. “The fans should be concerned because they pay their money from country to town and they still have to pay their money to (enter the venue) to watch football. Right now we are not getting any results and the performance is not good,” Coach Jeffers lamented.

In Sunday’s other match, United Old Road Jets shocked Mantab 3-1.
