Press Release

Meet Rashada Robinson, contestant number three in the Miss Teen Diva Pageant.

Rashada is an ambitious 17-year old who enjoys shopping, travelling, meeting new people, reading and surfing the internet. When asked about her preferred colour, she does not hesitate to say that she does not have one favourite colour but four, baby blue, baby pink, black and white.  Rashada is currently employed by a local trust company and is attending the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College where her favourite subject is Spanish.

The Futuristic Wear Segment is the one Rashada is anticipating the most because she claims it is the segment where her creativeness would most shine through.  For this segment, the contestants are not allowed to use any cloth in their outfits.  In the past contestants have appeared in bubble wrap, popsicles and garbage bags, just to name a few.  Of course Rashada would not comment on what her outfit would be created from, but she says that you will not be disappointed, but amazed.

Rashada wishes to publicly thank her sponsor, Nerine Trust Company and her chaperones for supporting in her endeavour and would like to extend a special invitation to her family, friends, well wishers and the general public, as she promises to entertain you with mind blowing performances – one segment after the other.

The Miss Junior and Teen Diva Pageant will be held on Saturday 22nd August, 2009 at the East End Long Look Community Centre commencing at 7:30p.m under the theme Living Life to the Fullest.  The contestants will be participating in seven segments namely Introduction, Diva Party Wear, Creative School Wear, Futuristic Wear, African Diva Wear, Formal Wear and Final Analysis.  Tickets are available at Bolos Department Store and Elite Superette for only $15.00 for adults and $8.00 for children (5–15 years old).
